Shipping Policy
Alcohol cannot be shipped like ordinary goods: it is heavy, fragile and regulated, and it has to be handed to an adult. This page explains how The Pour Deck packs, dispatches and delivers within the United States.
Where we ship
We ship to addresses inside the United States where direct delivery of alcohol is permitted. Some states, counties and municipalities restrict or forbid it, and a few address types, including some military and freight-forwarding locations, cannot be served at all. The checkout validates the destination before payment is taken. We do not ship internationally.
Order handling
Orders are picked and packed on business days. An order placed after the daily cut-off, at a weekend or on a public holiday is prepared on the next business day. In very hot or very cold weather we may hold a parcel briefly so that wine and vermouth do not sit in a hot truck or freeze in transit. You will be told if that happens.
How bottles are packed
Glass travels upright whenever the carton allows, separated by moulded pulp or foam cells so that no bottle touches another, with the neck braced and the base supported. Caps and corks are checked before packing and screw caps are taped. Cartons are sealed and marked as containing alcohol, and the carrier label records that an adult signature is required.
Cost and speed
Shipping is calculated at checkout from the total weight of the parcel, the destination and the service you select. Bottles are heavy, so weight rather than item count drives the price. Any free-shipping offer shown on the site applies to the cart subtotal before tax and excludes restricted destinations. Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees, and are counted in business days.
Signature and age check on delivery
Someone aged 21 or over must be present to sign. The courier may ask for photo identification. If nobody eligible is available, the parcel may return to the depot for a further attempt or come back to us, in which case the original shipping charge is not refundable.
Tracking and problems
A tracking link is emailed when the parcel leaves our warehouse. If tracking has not moved for several business days, or if the parcel arrives visibly wet, crushed or rattling, keep the packaging and contact us before discarding anything.
