Age Verification Policy

Alcohol is sold to adults only. The Pour Deck applies a 21-and-over rule to everyone who uses this store, wherever they live, even where a lower age is legal locally.

The check at checkout

Before an order is accepted you must confirm that you are 21 or older. Where the law or our payment provider requires it, you may also be asked to complete an electronic age verification step that matches the details you entered against a records provider, or to supply evidence of age through a secure form. Information from that step is used only to confirm eligibility.

The check at the door

Every parcel is sent with an adult signature requirement. The courier will ask for identification and will not hand the parcel to anyone under 21, to anyone who cannot produce identification, or to a neighbour. This applies to gifts as well: the recipient must be an adult able to sign.

If verification fails

An order that cannot be verified is cancelled and any authorisation is released. We do not keep failed verification records longer than is necessary to prevent repeated attempts. You are welcome to try again with corrected details.

Accounts

We may close an account, cancel open orders and decline future orders where age verification fails, where the details appear to belong to a minor, or where we believe the store is being used to supply alcohol to someone under 21.

Third-party delivery and forwarding

We do not ship to freight forwarders, parcel lockers or addresses where an adult cannot sign. Orders that appear to be routed onward to a minor will be cancelled.

Responsible drinking

Age checks are one part of selling alcohol carefully. Our pages never claim health benefits from drinking, and we encourage customers to measure what they pour, eat while they drink and avoid driving.
