The Pour Deck information

Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser so that it can remember you between pages. This page lists the kinds we use, what each one does and how to switch them off.

Strictly necessary cookies

These keep your basket intact, hold your session while you move through checkout, remember your age confirmation, and protect forms against cross-site request forgery. The store cannot take an order without them, so they are always active and do not require consent.

Preference cookies

If you choose a delivery region, a currency display or a language, a preference cookie remembers it for your next visit. Deleting it simply means choosing again.

Analytics cookies

These tell us which pages are visited, how long a visit lasts and where visitors arrived from, in aggregate. We use that information to fix broken journeys and to see which bottles people search for. You can refuse them; the shop still works.

Marketing cookies

Where they are used at all, marketing cookies help limit how often you see the same advertisement and measure whether a campaign led to a visit. They are optional and are set only after you agree.

Third-party cookies

Our payment provider and, where enabled, our analytics provider may set their own cookies when their tools load on a page. Those providers control the data they collect, and their own notices describe what they do with it.

How long they last

Session cookies disappear when you close the browser. Persistent cookies carry an expiry date, from a few days for preference settings to several months for analytics identifiers. Cart contents are held for a limited period so that a basket is not lost between visits.

Managing cookies

  • Use the consent banner to accept or refuse optional categories.
  • Change your choices at any time from the link in the site footer.
  • Block or delete cookies in your browser settings, remembering that blocking necessary cookies will break checkout.
  • Use a private browsing window to discard everything at the end of a session.

Changes

If we add a new cookie category we will update this page and, where required, ask for your consent again.
